BSI Wellesley Pool

The Boston Sports Institute (BSI) Wellesley pool opened in September, 2019. The competition pool is a reconfiguration of the Myrtha Pool from the 2012 Olympic Trials in Omaha, NE. It features 10 competition lanes with Myrtha starting blocks, Colorado Time Systems electronic timing and an alphanumeric scoreboard. There are three 25-yard warmup lanes beyond the bulkhead for continuous warmup and warmdown. The competition course depth ranges from 12.5 feet to 7 feet. There is spectator seating for 300 and ample free parking.

The BSI-Wellesley pool is now the home to the Wellesley High School Raiders team, as well as the Wellesley Swim Association (WSA) recreational team. It will host the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Swimming and Diving Championships in February 2020.

Parking: There is ample free parking in the main parking lot adjacent to the facility. Enter the facility through the main entrance.   


Harvard University Blodgett Pool

Blodgett Pool was a gift of the late John W. Blodgett Jr., '23. Regarded among the finest collegiate swimming facilities in the nation for fans and spectators alike, it was dedicated on February 4, 1978, when the Harvard men's team hosted Princeton University. The pool has permanent spectator seating for 1,200, and there is room on the pool deck to accommodate 500 swimmers, coaches, and officials. Blodgett Pool has hosted several men's and women's Ivy and Eastern Championships, and was the site of the 57th annual NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in 1980 and the Phillips 66 National Championships in 1981.

The competition course features 8 lanes with Omega starting blocks, Daktronics electronic timing, and a full alphanumeric scoreboard. The depth of the competition course is 7 feet. During the meet, there will be six 25-yard lanes and five 30-yard lanes available for continuous warmup and warmdown.
