SWIMMING SESSIONS: All events are timed finals.
Friday, November 30: 2:30pm warmup, 4:00pm start
Saturday, December 1: 7:30am warmup, 9:00am start
Saturday, December 1: 4:30pm warmup, 6:00pm start

DIVING SESSIONS:
Friday, November 30: Following the conclusion of swimming (approx. 7:30pm)
Saturday, December 1: Following the conclusion of morning swimming (approx. 12:30pm)

PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS:

FACILITY: Barletta Natatorium is a 6 lane, 25-yard facility with non-turbulent lane lines, a Colorado Timing System and electronic scoreboard. The turn end of the course is a bulkhead. There is a diving well area that will be available for warm-up and warm-down activities. The facility has ample seating.

DIRECTIONS: Barletta Natatorium is located in the Cabot Center on Huntington Avenue.

From the West (Massachusetts Turnpike): Follow turnpike into tunnel and take Prudential exit. Proceed westbound on Huntington Avenue. Barletta Natatorium at Cabot Center is approximately three tenths of a mile on left at intersection of Huntington and Forsyth Street.

From the South and West (128/95): Take 128/95 to Route 93. Take Mass. Ave exit and take right onto Mass. Ave. Follow Mass. Ave through seven set of lights until St. Botolph Street. Take left onto St. Botolph and follow to stop sign. Take right onto Gainsborough Street and then a left onto Huntington Avenue. Barletta Natatorium at Cabot Center is on the left at corner of Huntington Avenue and Forsyth Street.

From the North (93 & 95 across Tobin Bridge): Take exit 26 (Storrow Drive) and follow signs for Storrow Drive. Take Fenway exit and proceed straight off exit ramp (follow signs for Boylston Street Inbound, do not bear right) and continue through three sets of lights to Mass. Ave. Take right onto Mass. Ave. and proceed to Huntington Avenue (right after Symphony Hall). Take right onto Huntington Avenue and Barletta Natatorium at Cabot Center is on the left at the corners of Huntington and Forsyth Street.

Public Transportation: Take the "E" car of the MBTA Green Line to Northeastern stop. Barletta Natatorium at Cabot Center is across Huntington Avenue from the stop.

PARKING: Please contact Meet Director Roy Coates well before the meet for information about team bus or van parking accommodations.

ELIGIBILITY: All participants must be bona fide eligible student athletes under 2001-2002 NCAA competition guidelines.

ENTRY FEES: Entry fee is a flat $150 per school (which covers both men's and women's squads). Please make checks payable to "Northeastern Swimming".

ENTRY LIMITS: Athletes may enter and compete in a maximum of five (5) individual events and an unlimited number of relay events. If an athlete is entered in more than five individual events on the entry form, the athlete will be entered in the first five events entered, based on event number order.

ENTRY INFORMATION: Entry times must be submitted in short-course yards. Entry times should be best performances between September 1, 2000 and November 21, 2001. All entries must be typed or legibly printed and must include all information specified on the entry form. All entries must be received by 6:00pm, Wednesday, November 21, 2001. (Please note that this is the day before Thanksgiving.) Please send entries to: Rick Osterberg, 135 Pleasant Street #102, Brookline MA 02446. Plese check the "no signature required" box on overnight deliveries. No fax or electronic entries will be accepted.

RELAYS: Relay only swimmers will be allowed and must be listed on the meet entry grid. For all relay events, each school may enter one (1) relay team. Please list relay event entry times in the appropriate place on the entry grid, even if the entry is "NT" (no time).

TIME TRIALS: Time trials will be offered at the discretion of the meet director and the meet referee if time is available.

DISTANCE EVENTS: The 1650 freestyle will be swum fastest to slowest, alternating heats of women and men. Distance swimmers must provide a person to operate the lap counter for their lane. The 1650 freestyle will begin following the Saturday morning session, after a short warmup session in the competition course.

VERIFICATION AND RULES: The 2001-2002 NCAA Swimming and Diving Rules will govern competition except as otherwise stated herein, and the decisions of the meet referee will be final.

SCRATCHES: Scratches for each session will be due by the beginning of the preceding session. Scratches for the Friday afternoon session will be due by 9:00am on Friday, November 30. Please submit scratches for Friday only to the Meet Director, Roy Coates, or via email to nu-invite@swimindex.com.

AWARDS: There will be no awards presented.

SCORING: Scoring will be to 12 places:
Individual: 16-13-12-11-10-9-7-5-4-3-2-1
Relays: 32-26-24-22-20-18-14-10-8-6-4-2

PROGRAMS: Heat sheets for each session will be available for spectators for $1.

ADMISSION: Spectator admission is free.
